  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, oats, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and half the cinnamon. Cut in chilled butter until crumbly.
  3. In a saucepan, peel and chop 2 apples. Cook with butter, remaining brown sugar, and cinnamon until tender.
  4. Scoop out the tops of the remaining apples and remove some flesh to create bowls.
  5. Fill each apple with the warm mixture and top with crumble.
  6. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
