  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  3. Spread half of the meat mixture into the baking dish. Layer with mozzarella cheese, chopped spinach, and marinara sauce.
  4. Cover with remaining meat mixture and seal edges tightly.
  5. Add marinara sauce on top and bake for 45-50 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F).
  6. In the last few minutes of baking, sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top for added flavor.
  7. Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serve with extra marinara sauce.
