  • 45 slices ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced or thinly sliced)
  • 1 stalk green onion (cut into 2-inch pieces)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dry apple juice or rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tbsp dry apple juice or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce (substitute with regular soy sauce if needed)
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by slicing the onion and mincing the garlic and ginger.
  2. Marinate thinly sliced beef in a mixture of soy sauce, apple vinegar, water, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Mix together the ingredients for the sauce until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a wok over high heat and sear the marinated beef for about 2-4 minutes; set aside.
  5. In the same wok, sauté ginger followed by garlic and onions until softened.
  6. Add the prepared sauce to the vegetables and cook until thickened before returning the beef to combine everything well.
