  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • For the topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and gradually mix in milk.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined—be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Mix the topping ingredients (sugar and cinnamon), then sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
