  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Heat-treat the flour by spreading it on a sheet pan and baking at 350°F for 5 minutes.

  4. Mix in both sugars, whisking until combined.

  6. Sift cocoa powder, salt, and heat-treated flour into the mixture; stir until thick batter forms.
  7. Gradually add milk until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Fold in remaining chocolate chunks.
