  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon (for the filling)
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter (for the filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for the glaze)
  • 23 Tbsp milk (for the glaze)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a medium bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and alternate adding buttermilk and dry mixture until just combined.
  4. For the filling, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to form a paste.
  5. Spoon half of the batter into the pan; add dollops of the cinnamon mixture and swirl gently with a knife. Top with remaining batter and smooth out.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown; cool slightly before glazing.
  7. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; drizzle over the cooled loaf.
