  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375° F and melt the cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
  3. Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup.
  4. Layer half of the peaches over melted butter in the baking dish, pour batter on top without stirring, then layer remaining peaches.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the maple butter drizzle, mix melted butter with maple syrup and boil for two minutes.
