  • 1 (28-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 (15-ounce) can dark red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 (15-ounce) can great northern beans (drained and rinsed)
  • Ditalini pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Shredded parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a skillet or crockpot with a browning function, brown the ground beef with chopped onions, carrots, and celery until the meat is cooked through.
  2. Blister ditalini pasta in the microwave with olive oil until half-cooked.
  3. Combine all ingredients, including the browned mixture and blistered pasta, in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours until heated through and flavors meld.
