  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion (just the white/light green part)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (more or less to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey, maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions in boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, sauté green onions, ginger, and garlic in oil over medium heat for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Add all sauce ingredients to the pan and simmer on low for 5 minutes until well combined.
  4. Mix cooked noodles into the sauce and let them simmer for an additional few minutes to absorb flavors.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh green onions, cilantro, and extra red pepper flakes if desired.
