  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  3. Fold in the shredded Swiss cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan and shape it evenly.
  5. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and brown sugar; spread over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
